Pride: A shield of insecurities; A thick wall to shield fears; A mask to pretend that weakness doesn’t or a blanket to hide true self.
From My Heart: There is no pride in love and no love in pride. Pride is like a shell that protects something soft. Pride runs deep; choking the heart when it needs to speak. Pride hardens the heart and causes love to feel distant. Pride and anger cloud judgment. Pride doesn’t allow you to be humanly sensitive to an important emotion. Pride cripples the heart. Pride ties the hands of wisdom. Pride limits wisdom, emotions and choices. Pride has no freedom.
Taking pride in what you do is a healthy pride Taking pride in things, position, titles and riches isn’t a healthy pride Only God can strip you of your unhealthy pride. Pride really does go before destruction and lost.
