“NO” & “YES” have become words like: Not yet, Not really, Almost, Kinda, Just about, I guess so, I don’t know and Not right now, Maybe, later, Let me think about it, I’ll get back to you, Let me pray about it or I get around to it. The honesty of “No” & “Yes” doesn’t exist anymore in the human language. It’s lies told on a daily bases or told in mercy to spare a heart of pain.
Parents spoil their children by speaking: too-many-Yes and never enough “No’s.” Husbands are afraid to say “No” or “Yes” to their wives to keep peace in their home; Friends say “No” or “Yes” to keep their friendship. People never really say what “they want or don’t want” or speak their truth feels in fear of being rejected and like your being heartless.
From My Heart: What kind of a relationship do you have if you can’t be honest, if you can’t be yourself, if you can’t be free to express your opinion based on honesty, moral and values?
What kind of a relationship do you have if you can’t say “No” when you mean No and say “Yes” when you mean yes? Your words, opinions and feelings toward a subject should be just as important as the next person. Each person should be unselfish and be willing to hear the truth and deal with it.
